Able OT utilises a neurodiversity affirming approach when working with neurodivergent children and young people that seeks to understand their perspective to empower self-determination and ensure that their environment enables their participation and skill development.

Working with Able OT

What is the Able therapy process?

The first session will be an appointment with the primary care giver to take a detailed history and start to discuss therapy goals. Depending on the complexity, this may take one or two sessions. This might include talking to other important people in the child or young person’s  life such as educators or other professionals.

We will tailor an individual therapy plan with you, this may include further assessment in other environments such as school, kindergarten or child care.
